Professional Galaxy is looking for a Mechanical Integrity Engineer – Turbine Development on behalf of our client.

We are now seeking a Mechanical Integrity Engineer for a consulting assignment with our client in the energy sector. The assignment is located in Finspång and involves being part of a team working on mechanical integrity related to turbine development. Here you will have the opportunity to contribute to technically advanced development projects focusing on lifetime assessment of critical components.

This is a consulting assignment for 12 months with the ambition that the candidate will then be offered employment with the client.

About the assignment As a Mechanical Integrity Engineer, you will work to ensure the strength and lifespan of turbine components within ongoing development projects. You will be an important part of the mechanical integrity team and work closely with other technical disciplines.

Your main responsibilities:

Perform stress and lifetime analyses using finite element methods (FEA) and other numerical models. Conduct structural analyses and assessments of component lifetime behavior. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data for calculations and analyses. Contribute to method development and quality assurance within the field of mechanical integrity. The role suits you if you have approximately 2–5 years of experience in structural analysis and want to further develop in a technically advanced environment.

Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. - 2–5 years of experience in structural analysis. - Good understanding of underlying theories and methods in strength of materials and analysis. - Experience with finite element analyses (FEA). - Practical experience with tools such as ABAQUS, HyperWorks, and NASGRO. - Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. - Good collaboration skills and a willingness to learn and develop.

Other information Work model: Hybrid – primarily on-site with the possibility of some remote work. Assignment period: 12 months.

Over-recruitment: The intention is employment with the client after one year. Possibility of extension: By agreement. This is a consulting assignment where you will initially be employed as a consultant and work with our client.
